Formed in the summer of '99 as a substitute for a real hobby...First played under the name "Void" as it was thought that "The Smacked up Bunnies" might be too offensive

Hi,
In response to the last couple of messages on the guestbook I have decided to make a post. Now it seems that someone thinks Joe, Matt and I have been foolish. I would disagree, as the whole idea of this 'break' is to better ourselves. Also it was becoming near impossible to function as a band due to distance, yet it hasn't stopped the three of us from planning a foundation for our reunion.
We know that there were people who liked [IDON'TWANNA] and we are grateful to those few who would come and watch us. But you have to understand that [IDW] was merely an early stage in what we hope will become a greater form, but with the reunion there are gonna be changes. Hopefully people will see them as improvements, as we are the 3 of us now have a better idea of what we want to achieve, and we already have a few names to try out who we believe can help us achieve this concept.
So to whom ever it is that says we've thrown something away, you have now been informed of what's happening.
In the mean time I have a couple of "side projects" i'm working on, plus I've been working on some of my own bits and pieces.

Later,
G.

18th October 2002

Well we've split up (on the 13th of september after a below average gig)...We all decided that it would be the best thing to do for the time being...we felt that we needed to go away and learn how to play...Specially me cos i cant play for shit anymore... plus with all the pissing around finding a new member for an existing band, it just felt that a clean slate was needed. We all need time to relax then come back and put everything into it...I'm sick of feeling crap - Skyz

1st September

Well the guitarists didn't work out due to time restrictions...So now we've opted for a different approach, i'm now playing guitar only (and maybe adding some backing vocals) and we've got a lovely lass in to sing for us named Abby...I've known her for a couple of years and shes a great singer so we should be on our way to being good again (assuming anyone thought we we're good)...
Oo oo we've got a gig coming up as well! On the 13th of September...details at the minute are sketchy but apparently Seraphim will also be playing along with a band from Preston...Could be cool, just hope we're ready by then! - Skyz

1st August 2002

Cool we've got guitarists! erm...no more news - Skyz

1st July 2002

More pics added, these ones are from the recording studio in lancaster music co-op. Anyway, the recording has been set back a few weeks due to some technical errors...go ahead blame me I don't care...
Anyhow once done, songs will be uploaded to the site onto the songs page (so you can do some kinda sing-a-long) - Skyz

10th June 2002

Site once again updated...Pics added (really! go check for yourself)...New songs added + some little extra features that I thought might be interesting... A hidden page COMING SOON, please post some suggestions for what to put up there on the guestbook :>...No sign of a guitarist but recording nearly upon us!...We will be heard! - Skyz

1st June2002

Sites been updated, changed from frames to tables. The reasons being that A) It might actually work properly now and B) I had to do something to put off doing my revision ( besides drinking ). - Skyz

29th May 2002

Well no new news, two new songs in the works but still no guitarist...dammit! So no gigs planned for the minute. We're looking to buy a PA though if anyone knows someone who selling one (Around 100 watts, reasonable condition, no repairs needed)...Be warned, if you live near G then you'll probably have to put up with us practicing in his garage soon...bwuhaha!
Recording coming up next month! cds will probably be around 3-4 quid and will be available a.s.a.p! - Skyz

25th April 2002

Due to the noted depature of Rich we have finally got studio time booked. We have threatened to do this for at least a year and now its actually going to happen. We have the weekend of June the 22nd booked, and this recording will have Rich on guitar. Meaning last saturday (20th Apr.) wasn't the last time he played with IDW. Also we hope to find a new guitarist as soon as possible, so we can try and maintain our growth. For Rich and whoever visits this site, THANKS! - G (not Matt..muwahahaha!)

21st April 2002

WARNING! This update may contain a mix of good and bad news...

Right, well, where to start? Okay, i'll start with the gig...well the gig yesterday was amazing, it felt like the best gig we've everyr done, easily! To everyone who was there, thank you for making it such a good gig, and indeed a great night as well. Now for some good news and some terrible news! The Bad news: Rich has confirmed he will be leaving the band in the next couple of weeks. :( His reasons are all valid but he will definately be missed by me G and Joe (and quite possibly a few fans he made when he took his top off last night :) ) Thanx for helping us write some great songs man! and we wish you the best of luck back home in the isle of man! The Good news: Because of said bad news we will be making a recording sooner than we thought...in the next few weeks, I hope people will enjoy listening to us... - Skyz

15th April 2002

Hey there...We've redone the site (again)

This year could turn out to be a very good year for us with any luck (an a lot of work). Since Rich has joined we've become a lot more fluid when writing new songs. We shall hopefully be recording 4 or 5 songs during the summer...Which we hope any fans we gain will buy...And not only does it appear to be a good year for us, it appears that since the closure of the Alex (by the cheating lying cock sucking corporate assholes from Revolution Vodka bars leisure L. T. fucking D. - im not mad ) that there has been an increase in activity surrounding the Lancaster music scene...More gigs, more people, new bands. Its all looking pretty good...Viva la revolution, hah! - Skyz
